Getting Started: Logging In & Personalizing Your Experience
Accessing your spatial data should be a straightforward process. Whether you are a frequent user or just getting started with Open Spatial Cloud, understanding how to manage your entry point into Enlighten Enterprise can save you time and ensure you land exactly where you need to work.
Below is a guide on how to log in, navigate cloud nodes, and configure your startup preferences.
Accessing the Platform
The primary gateway to the platform is at openspatialcloud.com. You will find the login button located at the top right of the page.
The system is designed to automatically detect your geographic location to connect you to the nearest cloud node. If your location cannot be detected, you will simply be prompted to select a specific node manually.
Pro Tip: If you already have an assigned login URL, we recommend adding it to your browser favorites. This allows you to bypass the main site and go directly to your organization’s specific portal.
Authenticating & Selecting Accounts
Once you enter your credentials, you may be prompted to select an account if your profile is associated with multiple projects or organizations. To streamline this in the future, you can “favorite” a specific account within the platform settings to bypass this selection step during your next session.
Choosing Your Landing Page
Every user has a different workflow. Some prefer to have direct access to their dashboard while others need to jump straight into their map.
Your landing page will typically be either the Enlighten Enterprise Map or the Open Spatial Cloud Dashboard, depending on your settings.
- The Dashboard: This is the central hub for your account. The functionality available here is tailored to your specific user permissions. For example, administrators will see more panels and controls than standard users.
- The Map: This takes you directly into the spatial environment.
Customizing Your Startup Preferences
You have full control over which screen appears immediately after you log in.
- Setting a Permanent Landing Page: If you want the Enlighten Enterprise map to be your default, simply toggle the Star icon to “on” within your dashboard. The next time you log in, the map will open automatically.
- Dark Mode: If you prefer a darker interface, you can toggle Dark Mode using the switch at the top right of the screen.
- Specific Map Workspaces: You can even choose which specific map is displayed by “favoriting” a saved workspace. If no favorite is set, the system will default to your dashboard or the primary account map.
By taking a moment to configure these startup preferences, you can ensure that the platform supports your specific workflow the moment you sign in.
